High Blood Pressure Home Remedies

1. Lemon


Lemon is rich in potassium which is known for reducing blood pressure. If you have heart problems, lemon is good for you. Studies shows that drinking lemon juice helps reduce tension associated with depression.

2. Ginger and Cinnamon 


Combined with ginger and cinnamon, both warming spices that improves circulation, you can make a lovely tea to your hear healthy in return lowering your high blood pressure in a manageable level.

3. Watermelon 


Make watermelon your friend every morning daily. Watermelon contains an organic compund called citrulline. Once it enter the body it is convered to L-arginine, the precursor to nitric oxide. Nitric oxide relaxes the blood vessels in the body causing blood pressure to drop. 

4. Onions


The secret here is eating the onions raw to get as much enzyme. Onions contain antioxidant called quercetin. Quercetin helps lower the blood pressure but alo help treat chest pain, angina and lowers the risk of stroke and heart attack.

Beetroot juice is a powerful medicine in lowering of high blood pressure. Beetroot contains potassium, magnesium and high content of nitrates. When you drink beetroot juice, nitrates are rapidly converted into nitrites by bacteria (Veillonella and Actinomyces species) that lives on the surface of your tongue and which are also present in saliva.

The nitrites are absorbed into your curculation, where they are used to make a gas called nitric oxide. These cause the blood vessels to dilate so that your blood pressure decreases.

Eating fruits, vegetables and whole grains
